Despite the river being a dirty colour following overnight storm water there was good sport for all
participants. John Bates led the way with an excellent weight of 32-2-0 with 6 good chub and a
grayling over 2lb supported by a mix of smaller fish. Kim Jones edged a close battle for second place
with a mix of chub and dace upstream of the road bridge, fishing above the weir Chris wright had 5
chub for 16-2-0, Kev Roughton landed his first ever barbel 5lb losing two others.

Despite looking in good condition the Trent was unusually out of sorts . Mark matthews fishing his first match made no mistake from the weir weighing in 20lb including chub to 5-2-0, weights then fell away with the chub not showing Chris Wright put together 8lb of small fish from the road bridge with kim jones third with 7lb of bits.
